We had an amazing kickoff of the outdoor season. We started up with the second edition of the Eventing Derby Middenbeemster. Which technically is an arena eventing event. Two days of good weather and everything from absolute beginners to the top of the line of former WEG-contenders.
From Middenbeemster we headed onwards to another Eventing Derby. This time around at the amazing langoed Maarsbergen. Landgoed Maarsbergen is also the play ground for the Maarsbergen International Horse Trials later on this year. However this eventing derby was done in quite horrid weather conditions where it was rain from top to bottom and from left to right.
But still yet again an amazing event for both the organisation, the land owners and the competitors. Both these events were also sponsored by Eventing Photo which also worked out well.
The first national event.
From Maarsbergen we headed almost straight to the national eventing season kickoff at Chaam in the south of Netherlands. This Sunday only event was made for the highest level of horses and ponies and down to L-level (90-100cm) for the horses. Sadly the weather kind of let everybody down with cold rain and some really cold winds. But the spirit was on top and the day ran smooth and from our positions we spotted some real class acts of eventing.
